Attention all residents from Northeastern Connecticut, Northwestern Rhode Island and Southern Central Massachusetts
There is a meeting planned for Tuesday September 27th @ 7:30 p.m. This meeting will be held at the Killingly Town Hall located at 172 Main Street, Killingly, CT. We want to show that many of the local and regional residents and business owners want to protect the air we breathe and our water supply which is becoming a more precious resource every day for not just ourselves but for future generations, so please come attend with us and speak out.
The meeting will be a special Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission meeting that will include time set for public participation, and discussion with the consultant hired by Killingly to review information regarding the proposed power plant. This is your opportunity to express concerns you have about this proposed project. We do ask that everyone tries to bring comments and questions that are relevant to what the Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission has jurisdiction over. We will be present to express some of the many concerns we have. We encourage you to become involved with your fellow community members, join us, speak out and stand up for yourselves and also for our community. We cannot just allow companies to smother us with their pollution so they can make a profit while we suffer from the many negative impacts that this project can cause. PLEASE JOIN US. STAND UP, SPEAK OUT & BE HEARD! We look forward to seeing you at this meeting!
We would also like to thank those who are standing with us and helping to support this movement to protect not just our community but all of the surrounding communities that would be impacted by this power plant as well. This is a regional problem not just a Killingly problem. We encourage those who have not yet joined with us to become involved. We need your help and support to stop this project from being able to negatively impact every member of our community and those around us.
