Killingly Town Council Set To Vote On Proposed Power Plant’s Tax & CEBA Agreements

The Killingly Town Council is holding a Special Meeting on Thursday November 30th at 7 pm.  The only business on the agenda is consideration and action on a resolution approving and authorizing the execution of the Tax Stabilization Agreement (TSA) and the Community Environment Benefits Agreement (CEBA)  that have been negotiated between NTE and Killingly.  This means that the Town Council is set to vote on whether to approve or deny the contracts as they are currently written.  This may be your last opportunity to express you opinions and any concerns you have about these agreements before they get voted on.  We thank all the residents that continue to come to town meetings to voice their concerns and opinions, this is necessary for a true democracy to flourish.  We continue to encourage everyone to attend town meetings,  speak out and let your voice be heard.
